This notebook keeps careful records of how long old games take to finish and no records at all about the people who read it. What follows describes the tracking, storage and profiling that were deliberately left out when the site was built.
None is gathered. There are no accounts, no profiles, no comments and no input field anywhere on this site. Nothing here can receive a name, a number, an address of any sort or a message, so no such information can be captured or kept.
No cookie is written, and nothing is placed in local storage, session storage or any comparable facility. A consent banner would have nothing to ask about. Your browser will cache the stylesheet, the small script and the images, which speeds up a second visit and remains entirely within your control.
These pages contain no analytics package, tag manager, heat map, session recorder or social pixel. I neither operate measurement of my own nor embed anybody else's. The practical consequence is that I have no idea which replays are read, and that is a price worth paying.
No advertisement is displayed, no advertising network is contacted, no storefront link appears anywhere here, and nothing on this site has been paid for. Reading a piece about a nine-year-old open-world game adds nothing to any commercial profile, because nothing on this site is capable of adding to one.
Every file needed to display these pages comes from this domain: the stylesheet, the script, all photographs and illustrations, the emblem and the favicon. No font service, script library, embedded player, comment platform or media host is involved, so loading a page contacts nobody else.
The server delivering these files may keep ordinary technical records of each request: which file, when, with what status code, and a truncated network address. That is a property of web hosting rather than an editorial choice. Such records are never linked to an identity, are not examined for behaviour, and are discarded after a short period.
Pieces occasionally point to writing published elsewhere. Those destinations run their own privacy arrangements, which I neither control nor audit, and which take effect the moment you follow a link rather than while you are here.
This is games criticism written for a general adult readership. Since no personal data is collected from any visitor, none is collected from minors, and no processing here depends on a reader's age in any way.
Data protection law provides rights of access, correction and erasure over personal data held about you. None is held here, so there is nothing to disclose, amend or delete. This follows from how the site was built rather than from a promise that could later be withdrawn.
Should this notebook ever add something that processes personal information, this notice will be rewritten before that feature appears, and the change will be described plainly rather than absorbed into a new revision date.
